Powering innovation, talent, and inclusion in the STEAM industries

360 Degrees STEAM

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t.

In partnership with Professor Brian Cox CBE, the National Science Programme, led by 360 Degree Society, invites forward-thinking businesses to collaborate with future problem-solvers, makers, and creative thinkers - and create real social impact.

We believe that the UK has the power to lead the world in Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Maths (STEAM). But this is only possible if we support the next-generation of STEAM talent to realise their potential.

The National Science Programme builds long-term relationships between STEAM industry partners and communities where opportunity is missing. Together, we show that careers in STEAM are exciting, inclusive and attainable: because potential isn’t the problem, access is.

Over the past 15 years, we’ve built a national network of inspirational STEAM events that connect businesses directly with schools, families and young people. These purposeful, practical and place-based experiences are co-created with young people and tailored to reflect regional industry specialism - from advanced manufacturing in Rotherham to motorsport innovation in Surrey.

Each event is:

  • Locally led

by cross-sector partners including higher-education, councils and industry.

  • Place-based

in diverse community settings from museums to theme parks

  • Nationally connected

through a network of business and sector leaders.

  • Immersive and practical

designed to give young people inspirational, real-world insight into your sector.

  • Collaborative

with businesses co-producing workshops, events, and challenges with schools.

Look beyond corporate social responsibility and embrace corporate social opportunity

  • Develop future talent

Develop future talent with the skills, curiosity, and drive your industry needs

  • Enhance employee engagement

Enhance employee engagement through creative, hands-on projects and mentoring

  • Fuel innovation

Fuel innovation by inviting fresh perspectives from young minds

  • Raise your profile

Raise your profile in your community and build a more diverse and inclusive workforce

  • Attract new business

Attract new business by demonstrating leadership in social impact and skills development

Unlike many education initiatives, the National Science Programme is not reliant on public sector funding. Instead, it is driven by business leadership and investment.

No matter your size, your business can play a critical role in inspiring the next generation, futureproofing your industry, and making a lasting impact.
